The Nurse Residency Program is one of those opportunities: a one-year program that prepares each new graduate for their role as a pediatric nurse. Nurse residents may work several days in a row with only a few days off in-between their workdays. Nurse residency class frequency diminishes around four months, leading to more flexibility in scheduling. Applicants will choose to apply for either critical care or acute careambulatory clinic jobs. Financial assistance for medically necessary services is based on family income and hospital resources and is provided to children under age 21 whose primary residence is in Washington, Alaska, Montana or Idaho.
